Situated in a quiet, rural and elevated position in extensive lawned gardens with fragrant rosemary, cypresses, pines and olive trees, the three cottages at Le Case have been restored by local craftsmen to a high standard and provide comfortable, attractive and spacious accommodation.

Red and pink geraniums in terracotta pots, fragrant roses, lavender and yellow broom add colour to the gardens, dotted with the silvery olive trees. Guests will find their own quiet spot for sunbathing, reading and dining.

The pool with steps, is set in a level lawn area, with sun furniture, shower, umbrellas and far reaching panoramic views over the vineyards, cornfields and woodlands of this unspoilt corner of southern Tuscany.

The spires and towers of the hill town of Città della Pieve can be seen in the distance.

Le Case is ideal for families or couples wishing to holiday together, but requiring some space and privacy.


Accommodation

Each of the three cottages retains its own distinctive individual character and each has two sitting rooms. Elegant country furniture, good-sized bedrooms with wooden beds, or typical Tuscan iron bedsteads, and pretty fabrics are complemented by, well-equipped kitchens.

The bathrooms have modern fittings, some with very attractive salmon coloured travertine marble tops.

French windows lead out from the ground floor of each cottage to the lawned gardens, ideal for dining al fresco.

Guests will find their own quiet spot for sunbathing, reading and dining. 

Le Case Due is semi - detached with Le Case Tre.

Summary: Due Cottage: (180 sq. m) sleeps 8: Dining room with French windows to gardens and arch to kitchen. Shower room. Large double height sitting room with French windows to gardens, fireplace and wooden staircase to first floor.

First floor: 2 double bedrooms. 2 twin  bedrooms. Bathroom. Shower room. Further spacious sitting room with fireplace and pannelled glass door to external stairs down to gardens.

Facilities and Staff

  • Facilities - telephone, satellite television, dishwasher and barbecue.

  • Shared facilities - laundry room with washing machine in shared between all cottages.

  • Swimming pool -  12 m x 6 m with built-in steps.1.20 m - 1.95 m deep. Pool towels are provided. Open 16 May - 26 September. If you require the pool open prior to or after these dates, prices for 16 May - 27 June apply.

  • Staff - Maid service Saturdays and mid week. Change of bath linen mid-week.

Location

Secluded but not isolated, Le Case is within a 10 minute walk (800 m) of Palazzone, a village with bar, restaurant, and local shopping. The wineries at Palazzone produce an excellent red wine, almost as good as the famous Brunello from Montalcino.

Local Area

Further restaurants are 10-15 minutes drive away in Piazze or San Casciano dei Bagni.

A Spa centre Fonteverde with hot spring pool, ideal for swimming in cooler months, and beauty treatments is 10 minutes drive away, a fabulous indulgence after a busy working year.

Close to the border with Umbria, Le Case is a perfect base from which to visit both these  regions.
