South AfricaFew holiday destinations can offer the sheer diversity of experiences to be found in one country, in fact a ‘world in one country’. Our programme of villas and boutique hotels focuses on the Western Cape and Cape Town, which is the oldest city in South Africa, and is blessed with a stunning natural location and a Mediterranean climate. It is a dynamic city that is European in culture but African in mood, a city that has a growing reputation for its restaurants, arts, beaches, sports facilities and quality of life, and which makes the perfect holiday destination. Once you have explored the city, best done on foot, climbed Table Mountain (this can be done by cable car!) and visited Cape Point, there are the white sandy beaches at Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno to relax on. Inland, less than an hour to the north east of the city, are the wine lands, and here you will find some of the world’s most sublime countryside in the rolling landscapes of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Classic Cape Dutch mansions nestle amongst the vineyards beneath towering peaks, and there are plenty of opportunities to sample the local excellent vintages. East from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth runs the Garden Route, a spectacular coastline of sandy bays, windswept cliffs, forests and river valleys, and just north of Port Elizabeth we are featuring the private Shamwari Game Reserve and a chance to see the ‘Big Five’ at close quarters. Further afield in Mpumalanga province in the north east of the country, on the edge of the Kruger Park, we are also featuring the exclusive Ulusaba Private Game Reserve. In between there is much to explore and we can arrange a tailor-made holiday for you combining our villas and hotels in the Cape with as much or as little of the ‘world in one country’ as you require.
